We’re honored to welcome Dr. Hannah Galvin to Reach Capital’s healthcare advisory board.
Dr. Galvin serves as the Chief Health Information Officer and interim Chief of Pediatrics at Cambridge Health Alliance, an academic public health system serving over 140,000 patients annually in the Boston area. She also holds faculty appointments at both Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. Her clinical work, particularly in child abuse medicine and adolescent health, reflects her deep and enduring commitment to vulnerable populations.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Galvin is a nationally recognized thought leader in clinical informatics. She’s best known for her work in advancing equitable interoperability through patient-driven data sharing preferences and privacy. She currently serves on the federal Health IT Advisory Committee (HITAC), advising the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on policies and standards that enhance electronic health information exchange.
She also co-founded and sits on the Board Chair of Shift, a pioneering task force dedicated to equitable interoperability, governed by esteemed organizations such as the American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Electronic Health Records Association (EHRA), Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise USA (IHE USA), among others.
Her expertise in clinical informatics, data privacy, and interoperability will be invaluable as we invest in technologies that aim to improve care delivery, promote trust, and close access gaps — especially for underserved communities. When asked why she chose to join Reach, Dr. Galvin said:
“I’m thrilled to join the Reach team, helping to identify, support, and grow innovative technologies that can break down barriers and improve access to the highest quality care for all.”
We are excited to learn from and collaborate with Dr. Galvin as we continue to work towards health care solutions that empower patients, providers, and communities. Please join us in welcoming her to the Reach Capital team!
