Replit solved this early on by delivering a fully-featured, browser-based integrated development environment (IDE) that worked instantly on any device — no local setup required. But their vision was bigger: to be the place where anyone can write their first line of code, earn their first dollar, and build their first company. Now a pioneer in AI-driven software creation and “vibe coding,” Replit is bringing the next billion creators online and making software creation accessible to anyone, anywhere.

Team Conviction

Our conviction in Replit began with CEO Amjad Masad’s bold vision and experience. After starting his career as a founding engineer at Codecademy, where he helped millions take their first steps in programming, he went on to lead JavaScript infrastructure at Facebook. These roles cemented his belief that coding should be frictionless and accessible to all, an idea that became the foundation of Replit.

Alongside Amjad, co-founder Haya Odeh brought crucial design and product sensibilities that made Replit approachable for beginners and intuitive for educators. She shaped the platform’s user experience and visual identity, ensuring that its power was paired with simplicity. Together, Amjad and Haya combined technical depth with empathetic design, giving us confidence in their ability to democratize software creation and build a platform that could scale globally.

Impact to Date

Today, Replit is the fastest-growing agentic AI software creation platform, serving a global community of over 40 million users from everyday consumers to professionals at the world’s leading technology companies such as Coinbase, Duolingo and Zillow. Its autonomous software AI agent, Agent 3, is a breakthrough in autonomous software development, bringing ideas to life with minimal user interaction. True to its educational roots, the company is also collaborating with the Jordan’s Ministry of Education to launch an AI-powered learning assistant designed to transform education across the Kingdom.
