Armed with an MBA, Jen dropped out of the Silicon Valley startup scene and landed in a San Jose classroom as a 4th grade teacher. The head-spinning experience opened her eyes — from wanting to make a difference in one child’s life, to feeling responsibility for all students in her classroom, to seeing how many students are failed by the system at large. We can do better. She’s been driven by that motivation ever since.
Before joining Reach, Jen worked with traditional districts and charter schools, education nonprofits, and edtech startups. At Reach, she supports mission-driven founders to help them to achieve their dreams and build solutions that have large scale impact. As an investor, Jen brings both the practical and pedagogical savvy of an instructional coach and the commercial and building sensibilities of a product manager. Generative AI gives her renewed optimism that we can make a transformative difference in improving people’s lives.
